Located in the Barlow, the industrial warehouse area in Sebastopol. Its a nice space and with the industrial garage doors open there is a nice breeze along with some sun popping through. There is also a large community table outside.
The menu is short and although “pizza” is not in the restaurants name, that (Neapolitan pizza) is the majority of the menu and its focus. There are a few other bites, a salad and vegetable of the day.
Overall our experience was good, not great but pizza is pretty subjective and that is what makes it interesting. One persons perfect pizza is another's meh.
We started with the vegetable of the day, fire roasted carrots, onions with some fresh burrata. This was excellent, a nice mix of flavors.
We had two pizzas, the Manhattan had San Marzano tomatoes, chopped clams, garlic, mozzarello, oregano and chili oil. A bit too much tomatoes which took away the flavors from the other ingredients. Small amount of diced clams, could have used more.
Also had the Meatball Parm. Pie, carbari tomatoes, housemade meatballs, parm. Reggiano, mozzarello and garlic. We liked this pie better, still had too much sauce but the flavor of the meatballs was very good.
The crust on both pizzas was nicely charred and had good chew, actually a bit too chewy. We prefer a bit more crispy texture with good chew. I did say pizza was subjective right :)
Dinner can add up here, the vegetable starter, two 12 inch pizzas, a glass of Unti Barbera and a bottle of Peroni was $65.00 before tax and tip. Overall good pizza but for Neapolitan style pizza, we prefer Diavola in Geyserville.
