Vietnamese Restaurant Issues

On Saturday night, my friends and I experienced the ultimate "Griswold Moment" (i.e. National Lampoon's Vacation) at Golden Deli. We were starving and greatly anticipating a Vietnamese feast, only to be greeted by a closed sign and notice that they are shut down all of August. (Perhaps the management is actually Italian?!) Being San Gabriel Valley ignoramuses, we made a lifeline call to a friend in Pasadena, who directed us to the very adjacent Pagode. What followed was a wonderful and deeply satisfying meal. So, don't despair, simply cross the street (710 West Las Tunas Drive #5,6,7) and enjoy the fantastic pho, egg rolls, bun, and table top bbq. They did not, however, offer the peanut dipping sauce or pre-made summer rolls (but we were happy to assemble them ourselves). Some day I'll go back for the 7 courses of beef. In the same mini-mall, Hama, the espresso/bread/video store, intrigued us. What a *killer* combo.

As much as I hate to enable my provincial tendencies, is there passable Vietnamese in west of the 110?
