When in Venice I have always avoided Quadri because of its reputation for sky-high prices and food far short of that height. Yet recently I saw a review that claims the restaurant has a new chief and good food. http://livingveniceblog.com/2011/09/a... What is more, the folks at Michelin _Italia_ 2012 have awarded it a star. Of course, studying the restaurant's webpage will reveal that to call this place "very expensive" is something of an understatement.
Have any Chowhounders, having first taken out a new mortgage, been there since Oct 2011?
Prayerfully I'll overcome my inveterate procrastination and soon make on Chowhound my own report on restaurants from my recent trip to Italy: Venice, Bologna, Florence, Arezzo, Perugia, Rome.
