I need some help finding an appropriate veggie side for a dish.
I am making a Persian dish of saffron chicken and rice pilaf. The chicken is braised with caramelized onions and saffron. The rice has saffron, candied orange peel, shredded carrots, sour barberries and pistachios. The notes are sweet and acid. What veggie side would complement this? I don 't want to just serve chicken and rice, keeping in the Persian theme is not a concern.
