the deep fried chickpea patty was an overcooked crunchy thing full of grease. the idea was probably workable because there are many extremely good falafal places around town and doing a burger takeoff on falafal makes a lot of sense. there is, however, a long way between a good idea and a good execution.
the bun's appearance suggested that it might have some texture because the top looked brown and has some shine. in fact, the texture was much like plain white bread. it was warm white bread because they had put it on a grill for a moment or two, but they didn't leave it there long enough for it to actually toast.
the goat-cheese spread didn't taste like goat nor did it taste like cheese. it tasted like generic white spread
the tomato slice was exactly what you'd expect.
the best part of the burger was the honest-to-god decent piece of lettuce on the thing.
