Do folks have suggestions for tasting menus that vegetarians have enjoyed?
(I know trotters does a vegetable tasting, but I'd rather not pay as much for the meal as say a hyundai, though in the range of a decent mountain bike is fine)
one other qualification - can't be italian.
I ask because recently we went to chilcipango, I had preorder a tasting menu for the veg, knowing it might be a challenge ai let them know in advance, however, the results on the veg. menu weren't as pleasing, there was a reuse of veg's, and specifically veg's that i normally think of as garnish (baby carrots, baaby green beans). They handled it fairly well - when we answered honestly to the how's everything question, we were brought back a gift certificate equal in value to the cost of the tasting menu
The meat dishes however remained as good as ever, the lamb ir pasilla, a venison done yucatacen style and ceviche being standouts.
However as most of the dishes I like best at chilcipango are also on offer at ixcapuzalco, and at a lower price and without a huge difference in atmosphere/service I'd pick ixca as a better destination
