We were thinking of going out to try some of your famous Poutine here in Montreal. But we're veggie, so aren't stoked about the beefy gravy.
Does anyone know a place to get a delicous, kinda authentic (ok, ok, no mean veggie comments) Poutine made with, say, mushroom gravy or other vegetarian gravy?
What makes good Poutine, anyhow? Is it the way the fries are cut? what sort of oil they're fried in? Do they always use those cheese curd things or can it be other types of cheese?
In or near the Plateau would be helpful.
