Veal Parm Off: Victor's (Ball Sq) vs. Vinny's Superette (E. Somerville)

Recently I made it to Vinny's on Broadway in East Somerville and got a small veal parm to go. The fried veal was pre-made and came out of the table of sub ingredients. Cheese was sliced fresh. Sauce is FANTASTIC, especially topped with a bit of grated cheese and salt and pepper. But I've got to say that the veal was tough (overcooked from sitting in a steam/prep table??) and not nearly as flavorful as the veal at Victor's in Ball Square. The small was just over $6 IIRC.

IMHO Victor's wins hands-down for the best veal parm: fresher prep, tastier meat and much more tender (and more expensive, nearer to $8 I think). I do favor the sauce at Vinny's - that was some good stuff. And of course Vinny's wins the "local color" contest. Opinions on their other red sauce items?
