We had a lovely Valentines Day Dinner at CONVIVIUM.
There were three seatings, and reservations were honored. They planned everything very well, so we only had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. They didn't overbook, so the restaurant was not noisy and crowded.
The space looked as warm glowing and romantic as always. The food was excellent... a five course dinner with wine .
For appetizers we had the terrine of rabbit... more like a mousse. Excellent.
Then they brought out Lobster Raviolini in a chive butter suace... again delicious.
Then the salads, white Roman Chicory for him, blood orange and shaved fennel for me. Superb.
Then the main event... a wonderful red snapper with baby vegetables for me, filet mignon for him, with a Spanish potato tortilla...both excellent.
Then the desserts. Panna Cotta with blueberries and chocolate cake with raspberries,both served with a delicious dessert wine.. Muscat di Asti. Anyone know where to find it?
A beautifully executed dinner.
