My wife and I celebrated Valentine Day at Water Grill - Downtown. They offered a five course menu for $90.00 per person. We were informed by our server that their new chef (didn't know the chef had left) was offering some of his creations for the first time.
Water Grill is one of our favorite restaurants so I decided to see what the new chef was all about...Here goes. First course was a confit of salmon with cauliflower, sultans, caper berry, and turmeric - Great Start!; Second course was Steamed Atlantic Cod with Coriander and Fennel spiced Artichoke with Olive Puree (Even Better); Third course was Striped bass with Lemon Scented Potato Puree and garlic (Better Yet). We were then served Coconut Sorbet with Macadamia Nut, Mint and Lemongrass Broth (worth another trip just to have these again) Dessert Pineapple Upside Down Polenta with Basil Ice Cream (One of the most interesting desserts I've eaten).
It was a great dinner. The place was very busy, but service was excellent. Can't wait to get back there!
