Update on Cucina Forte

We ate at Cucina Forte last night, and I felt I should modify some of my former rave review.
The spinach gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce were still great. For me, a half order is plenty since they are quite rich. I tasted some with marinara sauce, and wasn't as enchanted. The ricotta gnocchi were also delicious.
The veal dishes seem to be uniformly excellent. I had the grilled salmon last night, which was cooked longer than I liked, even though I had mentioned that I don't like it overcooked. My husband had a dish with breast of chicken, which he rarely orders since so many places overcook it - and he said it was just average.
The ricotta cheesecake was light, lemony and excellent; better since it came from a large cake instead of in an individual ramekin, which tended to make it too dry.
The main problem was the noise level. It was unpleasant, even at 6pm, when places are usually fairly quiet.
Service is friendly and pleasant.
We would go back, but probably during the week, when we could hear each other.
In the meantime, we'll continue to eat at Tre Scalini as frequently as ever!
