Running late, my wife and I ended up at nearby Bayview Court Restaurant, 1070 Major Mackenzie for a quick dinner. Two of the dishes we ordered turned out to be amazingly delicious! Might even be the best tasting of its respective catagories in town.
First dish was a ' Free range chichen poached and marinated in Herbed/Rose essence infused premium top soy'. A clone of the dish made famous by Scarborough's Fantasy Eatery, this dish tasted even better and more refined! A triumph in execution! This could easily be the most delicious 'Chinese' chicken in the GTA!!
Second dish was 'Fried rice with diced Chinese preserved mustard green, dried scallops and minced ginger'. Expecting just another ordinary carbohydrate side dish to augment some of the main dishes. This fried rice ended up to be an unexpected star of the evening! Simple in look but complex in taste and texture due to the 'wok-hay' and ingredients. This could be the best tasting fried rice I've eaten in Toronto!
Great to discover something new in the area!
PS: FYI, the chicken dish is only available on the weekends!
