Turco's in Yorktown

Turco's has finally opened in Yorktown (Route 118 just north of Underhill Road)! I'm thinking of just moving in there, except that there are too many great ingredients available for cooking at home, too.

I've been there three times in the last week, so I haven't had a chance to start sampling any of the great-looking prepared seafood dishes and other salads. However, I can report a cheese department as extensive as the one at Fairway at 125th Street (with plenty of free tastes even if you don't ask); pizza by the slice or pie that my 16-year-old son declared is the best he's ever had, said the sauce is especially superb; nice olive bar; freshly-grilled hot dogs, hamburgers and salmon steaks (!), coffee/beverage/ice cream bar with large scope; Egg Farm Dairy butter and cheeses in the self-serve cheese section; creamy fresh ricotta (not always available) and variety of fresh mozzarella preparations; fresh Caesar salads (so fresh you have to wait a moment while the parmesan cheese if freshly grated over it); three fresh soups bubbling away; nice little tables tucked away from the shopping areas for eating and drinking.
