Stopped by the very unimpressive new digs of Tun-Du-Ree, at the intersection of Henderson and Neptune, way in the back of the strip mall across from Wendy's, and are we glad we did.
The place is TINY, and at first I thought "there's no way this could be good", but it's clean, and the owner is just about the friendliest guy you'll ever meet. His pleasant manner won us over, so we ordered a full round of takeout: potato and pea samosas, dahl, chickpea masala, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and basmati rice. This turned out to be enough for one huge dinner for two and a reasonable leftover for two the next night.
The only slight disappointment was the naan, which was merely OK. Everything else was super tasty and fresh, rich and spicy but not overly hot. The samosa were crisp, bite-sized guys instead of the typical larger pie,with a pureed filling, light and not at all greasy. The dahl was smooth and thick with a delayed kick, and the chickpea masala had a rich, dark, cinnamon-y sauce. The plates of basmati were prettily garnished with carrots, cherry tomatoes and cucumber, and the sauces--yogurt, plus that wonderful, spicy green stuff--were delicious. Nothing on the menu is over $7, which means the menu features only chicken and vegetarian dishes, but these are a great value. Ask about the specials, too, there were two the night we went, the chickpea masala and a tofu dish.

I suggest you all give it a try... this is a newcomer to the scene worth supporting.
