I am doing a 6 Course Truffle Dinner with 7 foodie friends at studiokitchen on Sunday, I admit not being the best at pairing wines but I have read postings here about previous dinners especially from Katie who seems to know wine. Can anyone suggest help.
Here is the menu that was sent to me.
Lobster Polenta Ravioli with Black trumpet mushrooms and white truffle/sea urchin sauce.
Arctic Char poached in Olive Oil on Braised Salsify
Squab juice and black truffle broth.
Steamed Maine crab with Tat Soi and cepes
white truffle/Miso/Poached Egg Emulsion.
Diver Scallop wrapped with australian barramundi
and larded with foie gras
Puy lentil and truffle vinaigrette
Long Island duckling Breast poached in "rainwater" Madiera and truffle juice
Chocolate "Truffle" gnocchi with crushed "gildas biscotti" , Pistachio sauce and Virgin Pistachio Oil.
The dessert doesnt actually use Truffles they said.
we are adventurous but way over our heads, any suggestions ?
