Now that I realize that trekking south of Santa Cruz is def. worth a day trip, I've grown more curious about that stretch btwn. SC and Monterey. I didn't even know there was a town called Marina til I read Melanie's post below. As you can see, we need to invest in some good local maps for me to study.
I was also struck by something that Andrea Nguyen (of Viet World Kitchen website) mentioned on her site about Seaside. Something about it being a multicultural mix of people that's reflected in its eateries and ethnic markets, perhaps along a certain strip of town. Anyone know the rough location of this section of town?
I'd like to compile a list of must-visit places along that stretch of the 1 south of Watsonville, north of Monterey...Moss Landing, Marina, Seaside. Anything food-related like markets, cafes, restaurants, farms. Please throw out your recs. Thanks. BTW, has anyone eaten at Pho King recently in Seaside? More info here...
