Owner Eric Stapelman and Trattoria Nostrani chef Nelli Maltezos have revamped the Nostrani menu and wine offerings, and will be offering a $35 three-course prix-fixe menu, with your choice of antipasti, primi and secondi courses (three selections per category), as well as weekly specials on wines — 10 selections each week are $35 or less per bottle. " The new wine list is only seven pages long (down from 27) and all the $100+ bottles are gone.
Stapelman is also opening Shibumi Ramen Ya, a 15-seat noodle, sake and otsumami (small plates) eatery adjoining Trattoria Nostrani in a few weeks.
