Tote Fete Bakery in Mendocino

More of a sandwich and deli place than a bakery. This is a tiny, charming, sun-filled eatery in Mendocino Village. Only about a half-dozen stools along with window across from a cooler filled with delicious deli offerings (sandwiches, salads, baked goods, wraps, etc). My husband and I split a great chicken salad sandwhich ($5.50) n locally made wheat bread. Chicken salad had lots of tasty chunks of chicken, celery, raisins, nuts, apples. Potato salad ($3/lb) was also delicious with a little celery seed to give it extra flavor. Extremely nice people own the shop and gave us lots of suggestions on what to do around town. A perfect break from the expensive, formal options in Mendocino.
