P. and I went here for lunch 9/5/06. I enjoy HK style food and have been here before. It's an ok place for a good amount of food.
We got free tomato/carrot soup with lots of black pepper in it which was nice. I ordered the baked seafood over rice. It comes out straight out of the oven and steam is coming out of it. Very temperature hot so wait like 5-10 minutes before digging in. It's pretty tasty. Lots of shrimp, 1 oyster, scallops, and calamari w/ creamy white sauce over rice and some cheese over it. Sounds a bit gross but it's good. $5.95 or so.
P. got baked spaghetti bolognese $5.95-meat sauce over spaghetti and some cheese over the sauce and baked. It's also straight from the oven-so wait 5-10 min too. He seemed to like it.
Drinks: P got HK style milk coffee-he liked it, said not too sweet. I wanted the HK style tea but they couldn't make it for me, don't understand. I got a ice honey lemon drink-just ok. $1.25-$2.50 for drinks each.
They have those secret Chinese menus on the walls so if someone can read Chinese goes with you then you have it made, I should have asked but the waiter couldn't speak English so didn't bother.
Before tip was $18.60 or so. CASH ONLY!!
I'd go back to try wonton noodle dish or oxtail w/ wine sauce over rice.
