We just had a great dinner at Toast on SE 52nd in Portland. The service was fantastic, as
was the food. We started with a golden beet salad with just the right tart/sweet balance. For entrees my sister had the Fresh Pasta - homemade winter squash ravioli with cauliflower puree. My rockfish with lemon mashed potatoes was fantastic - I have never had potatoes that silky and flavorful. The desserts were equally good - we split the creme brulee and an apple caramel cake. Our only question - why wasn't this place packed on a Friday night?
