First off let me say I'm an O'side local born and raised. Just got a job right down town. let me just say growing up DT O'side was pretty crappy. Now IMO it's really nice and has a lot of room to grow. Now that I work there I will be eating and reporting back as North County does not get a lot of love.
Tin Fish...right under the Oceanside pier. I had the half order of fish and chips. This consisted of 3 pieces of cod (I would actually call them strips) Waffle fries and coleslaw. I want to say the fish was cooked perfectly. The batter was more of a dusting..I like strong crunchy batter on my fish. (like Harbor fish and chips did 10 years ago and some pubs still do). The fries were perfect and they have a lot of condiment options. I am all about chips and malt vinegar...and Sriracha .
My meal was a good deal at 6.95. When you get into the core of the menu the prices go up. If I pay $15 dollars for a fish sandwich it has to own up to kings Fish House's 13.45 fish sandwich. (one of the best and equal to Pelly's)
I waited 20 mins for my order but they were slammed. Holiday weekend and all.
