Tim's is open, sort of anyway

And not up to pre-shutdown par.

I called Saturday and was told they were open for steaks and burgers so I showed up around 6 for a burger. Upon ordering my usual medium rare burger with bacon and cheddar plus the fries/rings combo I was told a) no bacon and b) no rings, only fries. Ok.

Burger came out less than 10 minutes later (which should have sent off the warning bells; they're not exactly fast) and I was served a dry, well-done burger that looked to be a pale imitation of Tim's burgers past. Like I said, over-cooked and it seemed 1/2 the typical size. While it didn't look exactly like a typical pre-formed 8 oz frozen burger, it wasn't far from it. Oh, and no mustard either? Ketchup and mayo only. Fries the same frozen steak fries, which could use improvement but work when the burger is nice and greasy.

At best, this burger was ok but made me actually mourn the old burgers and wonder if Sully's might take the crown. I hope not; I will return soon but will wait a couple of weeks to let them work out the kinks.
