Went to the opening last night. I'm not sure if they are officially open now but it did seem like the second floor still has work to be done. There are unfinished floors and walls upstairs even though they lit candles and used the space for overflow last night.
The evening was for hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. Passed hors d'oeuvres included corn & lobster bisque (very rich), fried crab balls, fried calamari, fried chicken wings, salmon risotto cakes, salmon mousse tart... I thought it was a odd offering b/c the wings were messy to eat and even though the salmon cakes were good, they fell apart as soon as they hit the dip. Didn't stop people from rushing to servers every time they stepped foot from the kitchen though.
There was complimentary champagne at the door but the bar was a cash bar and you had to make your way to the small bar area to get a drink. I was a little surprised. I'm not sure why.
Once the crowd hit critical mass (which didn't take long) we made our exit and headed elsewhere. I think I'll go back once the novelty wears off a bit.
