My Tho - Vietnamese in Hayward - unusual dishes

This place never cease to amaze me. Now I began to try their unusual dishes - I mean something other than the usual pho and rice plates. I won't get into those usual dishes here.

This place has the grilled boneless catfish similar to the SJ Pho Thienh Long @ Grand Century Mall. The tumeric based seasonings is slightly different. Not as strong but still delicious. Also did not have the bed of dill underneath it but instead caramelized onions and shaved green onion on top. It comes with huge array of accesories such as the thin white vermicelli noodles, leafy lettuce for wrapping, a bowl of toasted peanuts, a bowl of dark sauce which tasted a bit sour and had hints of shrimp paste, a large plate of thin crispy rice crackers and as if not enough another bowl of grilled onions. This dish alone would be enough for three people. For something like $12, amazing value and taste.

Also had the rice plate with lemon grass chicken which was nice but nothing spectacular.

There are many more dishes to try here.
