Today for lunch we tried a newer restaurant in Saugus. It is a small restaurant on a mainly residential area of the city. We arrived at 1:30 pm, and we had to wait for a table, since the restaurant was packed with customers.
Everything we ordered was very good. Chef Luis Diaz, is the chef/owner. He is, or was the executive chef at a very, very well know restaurant in Los Angeles area, Wolfgang Puck's Chinois on Main.
We ordered sizzling calamari and rock shrimp salad, which came with a great spicy dressing, it was excellent. The calamari was cooked to perfection.
A great chicken salad, with cabbage, chicken, and crispy wonton, and a chinese mustard vinaigrette.
A pesto chicken sandwich, which came with a side of a green salad, very tasty dressing and very good sandwich.
The food was presented very nicely!
I can't wait till we can go back and try other dishes. Prices are very reasonable, excellent quality food. Service was good, and friendly, but can use some polishing.
They are only open for breakfast and lunch. They close at 2:30 PM everyday, I hope they open for dinner soon.
The restaurant's name is a little misleading, we thought it was a coffee place.
