We are flying in from California, arriving 10:10 pm Thanksgiving night, and meeting a friend (also not from NO) for late drinks and food. We will have had a noon-ish turkey dinner already. Not looking for sit-down service, a bar with small plates would be peachy. Prefer inventive cocktails and local-ish food, if possible (i.e. not Chinese food and beer).
We are staying at the Intercontinental (downtown area) and nearby would be nice since it'll already be 11ish by time we're settled. Most lists of Thanksgiving day places just describe the hours for special meals, and I can't tell what's likely to be open late. Any ideas for us? Thanks very much in advance.
Also...would you expect restaurants to be on regular Friday hours and menus the following day?
