Due to a new baby in the family, my wife's not going to be cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year. However, we'd still like to have a nice meal at home.
We'll probably end up having 8-10 people over during the day, and I'd like to find a place where I can grab a nice takeout Thanksgiving dinner. We live around the Grove, and thus far, I've only found that Joan's on 3rd is doing a takeout menu:
I'd have to pick up a day ahead of time, but that shouldn't be too bad.
I'm also thinking of grabbing a deep fried turkey from Bludso's. I've never eaten there and I've never had deep fried turkey, but since that's something my wife will never cook, I'm thinking this might be the year to try it. It's only $55 for a 14-16 lb turkey, but once again, Bludso's is closed on Thanksgiving, so I'd have to pick up the day before.
Might anyone else have any suggestions regarding take out dinner? I'm not so worried about the price; I'm more worried about not wasting money on food that might not taste so good if I have to pick it up a day early.
