Based on the post below, tried a new Thai place, Rhong Tam on LaGuardia place, for delivery tonight. Overall, thought it was very solid. Haven't sampled enough dishes to pass an informed judgment, and it's not Queens, but it was as good or better than every other Thai place down here. Tried only three dishes:
Steamed vegetable dumplings - as good as can be expected; nice chewy wrapper, but nothing special. Wouldn't recommend.
Penang Curry - Pretty good. Not Queens, but better than everything else I've had in Manhattan. Incredibly spicy, which is nice.
Grilled duck curry - Duck was cooked very well, though not amazingly well. Real Chinese eggplant. Cherry tomatoes and pineapple were nice juicy additions. Curry was flavored well, though not particularly spicy. The best dish of the three.
I'll try it again later in the week and report back. Most of what I've read so far on menupages and Yelp read like shills so any reliable Chow reports would be welcome.
