Thai High Praise

Paya Thai (same owner as Crystal Thai), our local Thai spot in Tysons is by far the best Thai I've had in NoVA, and much to my amazement, I never read about in the usual food rags, nor on Chowhound. So I am compelled to get the word out! The quality, consistency, and freshness of the food is heads and tails better than Busara, Neisha, or the ubiquitous Tara Thai. I even love their seafood dishes, which I tend not to order in Asian restaurants (save Sushi)for fear of the dreaded pre-frozen, fishy filet. Everything's good, but highlights include the Red Snapper with Chili Paste, Crab Fried Rice (Mmmmmm), the Crunchy Catfish, the BBQd pork app., and even their basic thai house salad with peanut dressing is addictive. Their wine list is also surprisingly impressive.

So if you're in the Tysons area and hungry for Thai, stray from the usual and head to Paya. You won't be dissapointed.

Paya Thai is at the intersection of Old Courthouse Road and Rt. 123 in the small strip mall the other side of Taco Hell.
