A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I took the short trip from Austin down to the Little Texas Bistro in Buda. It was well worth the drive. The food was excellent, the wine was excellent, and the staff was professional yet friendly.
We ordered the tasting menu, which consisted of 5 courses with wine pairings for $90 per person. The food was tremendous, ranging from seared scallop in a tomato-basil bisque, to quail on a berry compote, to an assortment of chocolate desserts. The truly amazing thing, though, was the wine pairings; we have NEVER had such good wine pairings anywhere else.
Ordering the tasting menu brought out the Chef (Paul) to meet us, and to find out our likes and dislikes. The tasting menu was built to our tastes, and he hand-picked the wines. The entire experience was well worth the price, and we'll definitely be back soon.
