It was a Saturday, so they had the Valet going. I don't know if they do this everyday.
Walk in and the place is abuz.
First thing you notice, no females wotking there except the hostess. Only waiters in Tuxedos. I find this interesting, not because I care whether I am served by a man or a woman, but I feel as though I am in a time warp.
No reservations, the wait is about 15-30 minutes. The hostess doesn't take our name down. Good martini at the bar. 10 minutes later, the hostess comes and gets us. Kind of like Parkside in Corona, but I don't know if they do that all the time.
Mussels marinara for an ap. Very good.
Waiter asks what I want and I say that what I really want is Veal Pizaola, but its not on the menu. He replies, "Nothing that you want is not on the menu. Would you like that with a scalopini or a chop?"
I go for the scalopini. Very good, with a side of linguini in garlic & oil.
Desert for myself was a simple Zambuca.
Lots of people hanging around at the bar for drinks after their dinners.
Atmosphere: A bit loud
Price: moderate to expensive
