My husband took me to Tequila Joe's in Oreland for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. We've always felt like good burrito/taco fare wasn't available in this vicinity, but we had a good and fair-priced dinner. I had the seared tilapia soft tacos ($8.50) which included four soft flour or crunchy corn taco shells, a good sized piece of fish, lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and a little sour cream and guacamole. Felt healthy but still flavorful.
My husband got the fajita beef quesadilla ($9) which was on the other end of the healthful spectrum, but was very tasty and rich. Beef was flavorful, lots of cheese, but a little too drippy with yummy juices.
Looks like it could get loud/smokey (?) on a full night or happy hour, but for an early Sunday dinner, it was quiet and only half full.
Says that it is the "sister" restaurant to Solaris Grill in Chestnut Hill which hasn't been my favorite in the past. But this fills a niche nicely.
