Many moons ago, when I stil lived in DC I would go to Primi Piatti and, after a fabulous Italian dinner, have their famous Tartuffo desert. I am looking for this here in NYC. Let me clear about tartuffo (maybe there are different kinds).
Imagine this: dark-chocolate ice-cream rolled in truffle powder and set on a bed of english custard (Primi Piatti's had a line of strawberry coulis going around it).
anyone had this in a decently-priced downtown restaurant; I won't go to Le Cirque.
