Tara's Organic Ice Cream - Berkeley

goldangl95 | Mar 29, 2009 07:36 PM

I just went to Tara's Organic Ice Cream, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The flavors I got (Ginger Caramel and Turkish Coffee) were different but accessible (i.e. I could actually eat a whole scoop). For me, the flavors were well balanced. Not so subtle that without knowledge of the flavor I would go: "Is this vanilla?" ; not so over done that it screamed "I am coffee! You are now eating coffee grounds, and you will enjoy it!"

I also enjoyed it over my one and only trip to Ici's. However, this comparison could be biased based on the following reasons:

1. It was a beautiful warm day when I tried Tara's.
2. I could easily find parking.
3. There was no wait.
4. I could try different flavors without a huge crowd rolling their eyes behind me.

So, as the days warm up, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
