After giving us nearly two years of uninterrupted joy, I fear Taqueria (on Howard at Azeele) may be slipping. For the second time in a row, my crunchy cod burrito was crummy: the first time, it had only a few chunks of cod in it, where in the past it featured a whole filet; and the second time, in addition to skimpy cod, the spicy red cabbage was replaced with sour and stinky green cabbage. And tonight the chips were stale to boot! If they're skimping over there because Chipotle (right across the street) is eating into their profits, it's a dumb, dumb strategy. If they're just cynically cutting corners because they figure the drunken late night weekend crowds won't notice, they'll soon learn to miss the steady weeknight takeout customers that WILL notice the decline and take their tummies elsewhere.
