Finally had a chance to check the place out tonight. About a 25 minute wait for 2 peeps even at 9:00 PM. At least they take you cell phone # as there's no place to wait around since it's too small. What happens when it's cold/rainy out?
Anyways, started with the chicken pakora which is a little greasy but the meat inside was nice and tender and the spice you spoon over was good.
I ordered Manchurian fish medium spicey with gravy and my lady friend had the Tangra Masala chicken mild with gravy. We both thought the sauces were spicey/picante but the flavor just doesn't seem to be there. OK so the menu prices range from $8 - $13 so, yeah, I guess you can say you get what you pay for but I'll just head to Srip next time I'm looking to kick it up a notch.
Oh yeah, no credit cards, which we kind of assumed and then saw the handwritten sign on the door and they are supposed to charge you $0.35 for each doggie bag...
It wasn't BAD but we just had mugh higher expectations based on the recs here...
For those who aren't famliar with the place it's Chinese food with an Indian twist. Service was good at least, and the waitress was helpful in explaining and making suggestions. Guess we missed out on the lollipop chicken appetizer...
