Tangerine - Restaurant Week

Last night we took advantage of Restaurant Week to try Tangerine for the first time.

The good:
It's a beautiful place, much larger than I had thought.
At first we were led to a very plain room far in the back and off to the right.
When our friend asked if we could be seated in one of the other rooms (they weren't filled), we were graciously seated in one of the front rooms, which was much more attractive.

The food was excellent. There were two choices for each course, and they were all delicious.

The not-so-good:
The entree portions were quite small. They were enough for me and the other woman; the guys were ready to go for pizza afterwards.
The appetizers were generous. I can't believe that we were served a normal size entree portion. The portion of the tuna looked like a small appetizer.

Service was like lightning. We finished all three courses within one hour, and we are not especially fast eaters. Coffee added another ten or fifteen minutes.
There was a decent crowd, but still enough empty tables not to rush us through.
Service was competent and gracious - as it flew by.

It will be interesting to hear what others report.
