The photocopy stapled in the vestibule should have been a warning: a Washington Post article about Tandoor, a restaurant in Georgetown that was a White House favorite.
But here I was in a fairly new Arlington restaurant on Glebe Rd just south of Ravi Kabob.
The menu reads like a historic document, and the food tastes historic too. Salt was the main seasoning. For the record, we had seekh kabob (way salty) peneer kulchi (too salty), and a tandoori chicken that was cooked for some other occasion, painted with red food coloring.
Unfortunately, the prices were not suspended in the same time warp.
