We went for the first time last night. It was amazing. Wife had frisee salad and the Tagine. She said it was incredible. Coming from a girl whose dad is from North Africa, I think that is pretty high praise. I had the Charcuterie plate and the crabcakes. The meats were very good with some nice twists like the homemade chicken pate and the steak. The crabcakes literally fell apart as I ate them because of the complete lack of anything besides fantastic crab and seasoning. They disappeared quickly. My oldest daughter had the pancetta, onion, and chevre tart and the short ribs. Her comment was that the chef should come and cook at our house. At 7 I will not kick her out but that hurt. The littlest one, 3, ordered the sausage mac and cheese. Unfortunately too sophisticated for her palate so I shared it with my wife. Only mac better in town is the a la Peggy at Bistrot La Minette.
Desserts we equally impressive. Banana Banofie, crepe and an apple crisp. We always share our desserts. We barely shared last night. There were that yummy.
The room itself is warm and inviting. The servers were friendly and very accommodating especially with our picky eater. The only downside is that service could be slow at some points which is less of an issue if it was just my wife and me. But with two little girls that can cause some impatience.
It's a BYO so their wine list is of course only as good as your cellar or nearest State store. But I did try the Bloody Mary with the Vodka I brought. It was spicy and tasty, not too salty with a nice kick.
