Has anybody tried the General Tso's sweetbreads? I am always intrigued by new sweetbread dishes and I wonder if it is any good. Someone on the Boston board mentioned the dish in passing as one of the best items he has eaten this year!
More generally what reports has this resto generated?. A quick search of the board has not yielded so much.
Generally I hate General Tso's anything because it is a dish that is easily badly prepared. Too much breading, too little chicken, over cooked with disgusting sweet sauce, everything that NorthAmericanized Chinese food easily becomes. But if the principles of preparation were properly applied, it might make the basis for an interesting sweetbread dish.
