Last month, I read an article in a Japanese newspaper publishes in New York that in order to celerate 25th anniversary since Sushiden opened in the U.S., both Sushiden restaurants, i.e., Sushiden Madison Avenue and Sushiden Sixth Avenue will offer a special lunch set for $25 (tax and tip not included).
The set will include small appetizers composed of three seasonal delicacies, lobster grill, 'celebration box', clear soup (with clams perhaps?), and dessert. The set will be available from Feb.4 through Feb.8, 11:45am - 2:15pm (Sixth Avenue shop till 2:30pm), to the first ten customers daily.
I made a reservation for 11:45am yesterday at Sushiden Madison Avenue and arrived at 11:30am. There were already over 15 people (mostly all Japanese) waiting in line. I gave up, cancelled the reservation and had lunch elsewhere. If you are willing to wait in line for more than 20 minutes, however, this could be a deal.
