4 of us went there on Saturday night for the first time and were really surprised that only 2 other customers where there eating. They totally renovated this place and you wouldn't have guessed this used to be the old Cafe Riggio (which i wouldn't recommend either). It is a huge place with large waiting room and long bar. I actually liked the decor and atmosphore they created - especially with the large fish tank. Hey, gotta love fish tanks in any restaurant! Fish can create great conversation especially if someone knows something about hobby marine fish. The seats were very heavy but pretty comfy with a place for your feet to rest on.
The $13-15 special rolls weren't as bad as the other reviews say, but it's definately not worth the price and the rice was a bit dry too. My 3 item bento box will leave you hungry - only 3pcs of kaki fry? Zaru soba noodles themselves were better than others but the sauce was just ok. The udon broth wasn't too flavorful either. The donburi was huge though. The tempura wasn't delicate at all...
Salmon sashimi was good though. Service was good and attentive. No big deal but waitress took a little while to take our order down in her PDA.
Maybe an unlucky location?
