I had a sushi moment yesterday when I stumbled into a gem of a place called Sushi Iki. This shop is in Tarzana in the same center as Charlie G's and Pozi's Grill.
I was BLOWN AWAY. Two LIVE shrimp amazingly prepared plus some of the best Unagi and yellowtail I have ever tasted. The O-Toro is 22 bucks for sushi and sixtysomething for sashimi.
Amazing quality - the Aji were still whole, not even gutted - and still almost alive looking. There is a nice list of "live" things and all the specials are amazing. Lunch was 80 bucks though - so be prepared.
