Sushi: Can one really get full?

Whenever I consider sushi for a meal, I am always swayed by the reality that I probably won't get full (or at least full for a reasonable price). By full, I do not mean stuffed silly with remorse, but to the point where you feel satisfied with a moderately heavy stomach. I need to feel a pretty big dent in my appetite to be full.
Now I know that if you spent $100 on sushi, you could get full. But I really don't want to pay more that $40 at the absolute max, and preferably under $25.

So... my question is:

What is your strategy of getting full at a Sushi restaurant without breaking the bank (if it can be done)? Does one go with omakase? Any specific restaurants that anyone can think of? Thanks!!!
