Suggestions for Sunday Brunch in Phoenix?

kjhart | Dec 2, 2002 06:19 PM

Looking to get together with some girlfriends for a nice Sunday brunch in the Phoenix area (all of us live in Central or North Phoenix, so we're not really interested in anything too far east). I'm sure that all the resorts put out a pretty nice spread, but I was hoping that you chowhounds might have some suggestions. Here are the specifics:

1. Nothing outrageously pricy (I'm thinking under $40/per person). I generally avoid brunch buffets because I never feel like I can eat enough to get my money's worth.

2. Buffets are o.k., but non-buffet suggestions would be greatly appreciated (see #1).

3. Nice atmosphere where we can sit and talk and sip mimosas or bloody marys and not feel pressured to hurry up and get out of there.

4. Standard brunch fare of the American variety is probably best (a couple of picky eaters in the bunch).
