A friend and I are celebrating our 50th birthdays in Philly--staying at the Park Hyatt (Broad and Walnut)for a weekend. The last time I was in PHilly was 20 years ago, when I had great steamers and beer at a place called Walts near South Street-- I'm sure things have changed a lot since then.
We are first and foremost on a budget, so I'm looking for suggestions in the $50-60 range (dinner for two) for food. Bring your own bottle would be fine but not essential. Ethnic cuisines of any kind are fine.
I have seen many great restaurant suggestions here but not sure which are in my price range.
Any other suggestions are welcome- for drinks, for brunch or lunch, area to explore. We would like to be in interesting areas where we could walk around after dinner Fri and Sat night, as well as during the day. We plan to explore the Maniyunk area and visit the Phila Museum of Art, South Street, and the Terminal Market.
