suggestions for inexpensive downtown work dinner

Need to organize mid-week dinner for 40-50 people in early June. Looking for a small, friendly restaurant that we can "take over" for the evening; must have excellent food, doesn't need to be fancy (but does need liquor license). Nothing too exotic since variety of food preferences among the group (ie, probably not Indian, Chinese, sushi; variety of European cuisines OK). Prefer downtown area (St. Clair to King, Wellesley to Bathurst).

Of course it needs to be large enough to fit 50. It should be one large room so we can all see one another (ie somewhere like Corner House - small rooms - or Matignon - 2 floors - won't work). Budget runs to about $30/person, not including alcohol/tax/tip.

I was wondering about The Rushton, Supermarket, The Boulevard Cafe (outside on the patio? it's June), The Rosebud or maybe Savoy? Any of these places big enough? Other suggestions welcome...
