2 days skiing and eating. Read as much on CH as I could find and ended up doing the following:
Breakfast at Norma's: resto in topnotch resort/hotel. the best eggs benedict I have ever had. At $15 it should be but it's a hotel resto...all I can say is that the eggs yolks were perfect and runny served with the right amount of hollandaise on an amzing "cob smoked" ham steak instead of thomas' english muffines with 2 points of great bread.
lunch both days at spruce lodge consisted of hot chocolate in REAL mugs for a bargain of $2.50 plus .75 cent squares of lake champlain dark chocolate. After the $83 lift tickets this was a treat!
Dinner#1: Michael's on the Hll. Fantastic eats. Possibly the best lobster I have had outside of Maine. And for certain the best corn chowder with pork belly lardons...
Dinner#2: Equally impressive meal at hen of the Wood at Grist Mill. signature duck breast entree was amazing and again possibly the best fried oysters ever this time including maine.
I have to thank the new england ch crew especially morganna. great blog. recs were dead on. you made our short trip!
