I am baking cupcakes for my daughter to take to school tomorrow. I made an oatmeal cake last night which I baked before I went to bed, and this morning I put them in covered storage containers and left at room temp. Tonight I made a batch of strawberry cream cheese frosting, which is sitting in the fridge.
The cupcakes will be served around 10am. The latest I can frost them is 7:30 am tomorrow before I go to work.
Should I leave the cupcakes unfrosted until then? Should they stay at room temp? After I frost the cupcakes, can they stay out (we are in new england, it will probably be mild temp in her school) until snack time? Can I frost them tonight?
