Need help in picking one or two of Steve's cookbooks. How about the Barbacue Bible or Barbacue Sauces, Rubs, and Marinades?
I recently purchased S. Raichlens Island Blend Spice rub at the Back Yard BBQ store in Wilmette, Illinois. I'm usually unimpressed by packaged rubs and sauces but I must say that Steve's Island Spice Rub is one of the best. It's sort of like a Jamaican Spice Rub. I purchased a couple large bags of frozen chicken wings at Aldi (great value for $5.99-check the plastic bags for holes before buying) and was pleased. Anyway, I made one batch of barbacue wings and one with Steve's Island Blend on my BIG GREEN EGG Grill/Smoker. Both were a hit. Yesterday I used the Island rub for a beer can chicken and it's definitely a keeper.
Any other great Raichlen Rubs & Sauces?
